Spotlight on Collection

Dr. Hijiya-Kirschnereit, who has been one of the leading Japanologists in Europe for many decades. She is an expert in Japanese literature, and this collection which she donated to UCC Library reflects that.  A big part of her collection focuses on the area of "nihonjin-ron", a discourse focusing or even constructing a "uniqueness" of the Japanese culture. Many of the books in English language are important standard works.

There are 319 books in the collection in total - they can be found listed on the Library catalogue by doing a Collections search for "Ex libris Hijiya-Kirschnereit"
