Library Essentials: Pay a Fine

Try to avoid fines by renewing your borrowed items or returning them on or before the due date.

Overdue standard and short loan books are billed at a rate of 50¢ per day per book, up to a maximum of €30 per item.

 You won't be able to borrow any item if you have a fine of over €5 on your library account. You can reduce or clear a fine by:

• Using the Smartcard Fines Kiosk near the self-issue machines on Q floor of the Boole Library.
• Paying at the Library & IT Desk.
• Paying at the Service Desks in Boston Scientific Health Sciences Library (Brookfield) and the Cork University Hospital Library.
• You can pay a fine by Smartcard, in cash, cheque or postal order. Make cheques and postal orders payable to Boole Library UCC.

Please note! Credit and Debit Cards are not accepted. Sorry!
