The Research Data Service

Research Data Management and Data Management Plans (DMPs) are a required part of many research projects and an integral part of all research projects. They begin at grant application stage and then evolve and develop to support best practice in the treatment of your data. The Research Data Service is here to help, providing advice and support with:

  • Funding body requirements and writing a Data Management Plan for grant applications*,

  • Putting DMPs into action

  • Identifying tools and services to support your data, e.g. data storage during research and repositories for long-term preservation and sharing

  • Learning about and enacting the FAIR principles

And many more issues relating to data management and sharing!

If you would like to talk to us about research data management and sharing, you can book a one-to-one consultation appointment or email researchdata@ucc.ie. Alternatively, you can look at the training and other kinds of support that is available.

*If you need a Data Management Plan review, a draft plan should be submitted for review a minimum of 7 working days in advance of your consultation or funding application deadline.
