The IReL-Springer Compact Read and Publish agreement (Apr 2021 - Dec 2024) details are as follows:
OA quota: Springer fund is now fully used. (09.09.2024). IReL-funded OA will not be offered to authors for the rest of 2024. See Springer Nature: Springer Compact – IReL
For your article submission to be included under the agreement, you must be the corresponding author and affiliated to 'University College Cork'. In the article submission process you must correctly identify your institution as 'University College Cork'. You must use your UCC email address, and not addresses from other domains. At the time the article is accepted for publication, the corresponding author must be a current staff member or student with a participating institution.
The corresponding author journey is described here. Note that you must choose 'University College Cork' from the dropdown menu.
Note. Once the quota is fully used, authors of accepted manuscripts will not be offered IReL-funded OA for the rest of 2024

When the quota allowance has been reached, Authors of papers in hybrid journals can continue to make your work open access by depositing the accepted manuscript version in CORA UCC's open access repository. Contact the CORA team at cora@ucc.ie
