IE BL/SC/RW is Ron Whitehead material held in UCC Library. The collection was acquired from Mr. Whitehead in 2005 by John FitzGerald, Librarian, UCC Library.
Biographical History:
Ron Whitehead is a Nobel nominated Beat poet, based in Louisville, Kentucky.
Laurence Ferlinghetti (1919-2021) was an American poet and painter, and co-founder of City Lights Booksellers & Publishers in San Francisco, California.
Content:
The collection holds mss letters mostly from Laurence Ferlinghetti, to Ron Whitehead, with illustrations.
The letters are described individually and by date-order.
