From April 22 - 26 2024, the Academic Technology team in UCC Library partnered with Digital Arts and Humanities on a pilot initiative aimed at giving students an opportunity to learn and develop key skills.
Working in groups, masters students from Digital Arts and Humanities (DH6003: Digital Humanities Institute) engaged with material in the Library's Special Collections to think creatively about how to communicate ideas, research and work using a variety of digital tools and technologies to create original outputs.
Activities that occurred throughout the week included:
Hands-on experience with unique and distinctive materials such as literary manuscripts, early printed books, maps, pamphlets, and other primary resources
Interactive workshops
Collaborative work space in the Digital Scholarship Studio
