The four year IReL-Wiley agreement (Jan 2021 to Dec 2024) allows eligible corresponding authors, in participating institutions (including UCC), to publish original research and review articles open access upon publication at no extra cost. The agreement also allows member institutions continued access to the complete collection over one thousand journals published by Wiley.
For your article submission to be included under the agreement, you must be the corresponding author and affiliated to 'University College Cork'. In the article submission process you must correctly identify your institution as 'University College Cork'. You must use your UCC email address, and not addresses from other domains.
For Wiley hybrid journals: At the time the article is accepted for publication, the corresponding author must be a current member of UCC staff, or a registered UCC student.
For Wiley Gold (fully OA journals) journals: At the time the article is submitted for publication, the corresponding author must be a current member of UCC staff, or a registered UCC student.
Note. There is a limited annual publishing fund. Once the maximum article allowance for 2023 is reached authors will not be offered the option to publish open access at no cost, as the eligibility recognition will be switched off for articles accepted for publication after that point.
Wiley hybrid and gold titles are included - hybrid (partially open access) and Gold (fully open access)
Some journals are not covered by the agreement: a small number of subscription-only journals.
