UCC Library held our Annual Seminar on the 6th March.

The event explored the role libraries play in promoting and supporting equality, diversity, and inclusion. A range of speakers on the day, offered perspectives from a Library viewpoint, and also from the perspective of the communities that libraries serve.

The Keynote Speaker was Marilyn Clarke ((Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, London) and her talk was titled "Social Justice and EDI in the Library: praxis and reflexivity" 

Leona Burgess (Louth County Libraries) was up next and her paper was "The  Library of Sanctuary"

Katy Lumsden (National Library of Ireland) spoke next and her paper was titled "The horizon leans forward: strategic landscape transformed through E, E, D & I"

Elaine Chapman (Technological University Dublin) was our final paper and her paper was "Diversity not division"
