What Makes a Book Worth Collecting?
Do you wonder if and why a book is worth collecting? This workshop will help you to develop your understanding of what makes books collectable and how to locate collectable books.
This workshop will be conducted in Special Collections, Boole Library. Attendees will receive an email before the workshop indicating standard procedures when visiting Special Collections.
Attendees must register in advance. Registrations close 18:00 Tuesday 28 March. The session is 45-60 minutes long.

Sessions run for 1 hour, suitable for 12+. Maximum of 2 people per booking.
Introduction to Graphic Design
Are you interested in increasing your skills in graphic design but currently have no experience? This workshop is for absolute beginners, whether you are hoping to create posters for seminars or add more style to your presentations – this can all be done through Canva.
Canva (https://www.canva.com) is a user-friendly, graphic design online platform that can be used for creating and styling anything from posters, presentations, reports and more. In this workshop, you will learn about guidelines to follow, such as the basic principles of design and designing for accessibility. There will also be a demo on the user interface of Canva and how to navigate and use the online platform.
This workshop will be conducted via Teams. You will receive a link to the Teams meeting the day before the workshop.
