Hardback notebook with mss entries by Patrick Falvey (Agent), Glengarriff Office, Bantry Estate. Entries relate to the running of the Glengarriff part of the estate – workmen’s wages and income tax paid; funeral expenses of a Daniel Falvey; tenants’ and lands; repairs carried out on the estate; accounts of possible poaching on lands “I came on 6 Free State soldiers cutting an ash tree in the Pound wood” (7 Nov. 1923); and family information – Falvey’s marriage and the births of his children are noted. Also noted are the purchases of horses by Falvey, land valuations (1936-37); and monies lent to individuals. There is an additional entry in 1964 relating to a loan.

Large hardback scrapbook belonging to [Richard, Viscount Berehaven] with “Napoli 1843” embossed in gold on the spine. It holds pencil, ink and coloured drawings of landscapes, buildings, individuals, and ships, showing Pompeii, Castillamare, Napoli, Rome and Amalfi, stuck onto the pages, others are loose. Some have captions, others are missing from book. Includes loose B&W published drawings with captions in French including captions “La ville de Fribourg”; “Des Lacs de Thoune et de Brienz”; and loose published drawings on cardboard and paper, as well as sketches by the Viscount.
