Examination Papers : Access

Online and hardcopy examination papers available from UCC Library and Library website

Accessing Exam Papers Online

N.B. The system for uploading examination papers is changing and therefore examination papers for 2020 Semester 2 are currently unavailable with the exception of a few modules.  Students requiring 2020 Semester 2 examination papers should contact their module coordinator in this instance.

Access to past Examination Papers Online (2015-2019) is available to registered students and staff of UCC. You can search by module number or by season/date.

If you are accessing exam papers from off campus, you will be prompted to log in using your UCC credentials:

  • UCC Students: Your username is your student number and your password is your Student IT Password
  • UCC Staff: Your username is your @ucc.ie email address and your password is your email password

Please note: External Readers do not have access to online resources.

  • Examination papers in print format (2002-2019) are located in the Copy Room on the ground floor, Boole Library.
  • Bound volumes of Examination Papers from years 1910-2001 may be requested from Special Collections & ArchivesQ-1 Floor, Boole Library.

Examination Papers may be printed/saved.

Email address for submission of exam papers: exampapersonline@ucc.ie

  • It is preferable to receive examination papers in electronic format to speed up the process of uploading to the library website.
  • In order to further speed up the process, please send the examination papers in PDF format, naming each file using module, season, year.
    For example: AC3042Aut2016;  BL3002Spr2015;  GG1002Sum2014;  EC1104Win2017
  • If PDF is not a viable option, then MS Word is the preferred option.
Word documents can be easily converted to PDF - pdf converter
  • Always send a separate PDF file for each examination paper, i.e. do not combine multiple papers into one large PDF file. Please feel free to send multiple PDF files/papers attached to a single email.
  • Files need to be separated according to season/semester.
  • Ensure that files are not password protected.
  • Please check the Examination Papers section on the library website before submitting new papers to avoid re-submitting papers already published.
  • Remove MCQ portions of the examination paper as these may be used again by some departments.
  • If a paper has questions from several lecturers, please send a copy of the final version of the entire paper.
  • Where possible, please submit exam papers through one central person in the department for ease of follow-up, if necessary.
