The Research Data Service

Research Data Management and Data Management Plans (DMPs) are often a requirement in research projects but they are integral to all projects. UCC's Research Data Management Policy requires you to have a DMP in place for all research projects.  They can begin at grant application stage and should be in place before data collection begin to support best practice in the treatment of your data. The Research Data Service is here to help, providing advice and support with:

  • Funding body requirements

  • Putting DMPs into action

  • Identifying tools and services to support your data, e.g. data storage during research and repositories for long-term preservation and sharing

  • Learning about and enacting the FAIR principles

And any other queries you have relating to data management and sharing!

If you would like to talk to us about research data management and sharing, you can book a one-to-one consultation appointment or email researchdata@ucc.ie.

Please send a copy of your data management plan in advance of all appointments. For grant applications please submit your data management plan a minimum of 7 days before any deadline.
