Library Access: Day Pass

The Library permits access to Staff and Students of UCC. We also accept visitors from all walks of life. Please use the links below to find the most suitable access permission for your situation.

Members of the public and private researchers are welcome to visit UCC library with a Day Pass for research purposes. This research cannot be for profit or as part of your work. You will be asked to provide details about your research and the resources you intend to use. 

During study week and exam periods when the library is very busy, it may not be possible to accommodate day pass visitors.

We are unable to accommodate 2nd level students

You must apply in advance to obtain a Day Pass.

Fill in the Day pass form and, if you satisfy the criteria above, you will be given a Day Pass.

Day Pass Applications can only be approved Monday to Thursday 9 am - 5 pm, Fridays 9 am - 1 pm

Day Passes are valid until the closing time of the Library and can be obtained only once per academic year (exceptions can be made on a case by case basis).

Day pass visitors should note that they accept Library Regulations and are subject to the same rules as UCC students and staff.

Temporary membership may be granted for research purposes.

Visitors to Special Collections & Archives should order the material they require in advance of applying for a Day pass.

Academic visitors or students from other institutions may use Eduroam to connect to the University's wireless network.

They should configure and test their Eduroam connection at their home institution before visiting UCC.

A Day Pass does not give access to electronic resources, wifi or computers, printing or photocopying.
