Library Essentials: Pay a Fine

We only charge fines for late return on a standard or short loan book if the book has been requested.  Otherwise there is no fine for late return for UCC students and staff.  External readers are charged a fine of €1 per day per book for overdue items.  

The fine on overdue recalled books is €1 per day per book, up to a maximum of €30 per item.

 You won't be able to borrow books/laptops if you have a fine of over €5 on your library account or if you have overdue items on your library account.

To reduce or clear a fine you can:

• Pay at the Library Services Desk either in person or over the phone.  Payment can be in cash or by debit/credit card.
• You can also pay by cheque or postal order, payable to Boole Library UCC.
