An Barr Buadh

An Barr Buadh

Bhunaigh Pádraig Mac Piarais (1879-1916) An Barr Buadh mar nuachtán chun neamhspleáchas na hÉireann a mhol.  Chomh maith leis an bPiarsach féin, bhí Éamonn Ceannt (1881-1916), Cathal Brugha (1874-1922), Desmond Ryan (1893-1964) agus Peadar Kearney (1883-1942) i measc na scríbhneoirí ann.  Níor mhair An Barr Buadh ach trí mhí, idir Márta agus Bealtaine 1912.

An Barr Buadh (The Trumpet of Freedom) was founded by Patrick Pearse (1879-1916), as a paper to advocate for Irish independence.  As well as Pearse himself, the paper's contributors included Éamonn Ceannt (1881-1916), Cathal Brugha (1874-1922), Desmond Ryan (1893-1964) and Peadar Kearney (1883-1942).  An Barr Buadh lasted for only eleven issues, between March and May 1912.
