About the Cork Morning Intelligencer

The Cork Morning Intelligencer began publication in May 1811, being printed by John O'Rorke in Castle Street.  The paper appeared thrice-weekly, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, continuing until 1823, when it merged with The Constitution.

Special Collections holds a bound volume of the Cork Morning Intelligencer, containing 103 of 127 issues for 1812, and also the issue for 8 August 1811.  This can also be found in the Irish Newspaper Archives database.

Other holdings

The largest collection of this paper is held by the National Library of Ireland (1811-1822, with gaps), with some papers for 1815-1817 also in Trinity College, Dublin, and for 1815, 1816 and 1821 in the British Library.
