Special Collections' & Archives' Subject Support: Music

Special Collections has a wide range of sources to assist research in Music. Such sources include:

• collections from individuals such as Seán Ó Riada (1931-71), composer, lecturer in UCC (1963-1971), including his personal archive, or Arnold Bax (1883-1953) Master of the King's Musick (1941-1953), composer and poet 
• collections about an individual such as Richard Henebry
• music manuscripts by Fr James Goodman
• music scores with advertisements such as The Death of Auld Robin Gray and Jemmy's Return
• music scores with letters about the acquisition of the score such as A New Edition of Six Concertos for the Harpsicord or Organ
• music contained within 18th century Cork newspapers such as Corke Journal
• journals such as UCC Record and Official Gazette
